Anderson (2-1, 1.88) Team totals,Američka liga,treća je utakmica u seriji u prve dvije je pobjedio Boston sa 9:4 i 6:4. Tim Wakefield dopušta 5.68 poena po utakmici,manje više to je njegov opus,a ne trenutačno loša forma u bacanju,ipak se radi o petom bacaču iz rotacije Bostona,zanimljivo je da je na zadnjoj utakmici protiv Kansasa primio 9 poena. Oakland ima solidan omjer 28-16,Boston ima tek tri pobjede više. Oakland u suštini ima dobre bacače,kao ekipa dopuštaju 3.95 poena,danas baca peti iz rotacije Brett Anderson koji dopušta u prosjeku 1.88 poen,a bacat će preko 5 inninga.
